★ What is Symbio Community Forum?

Symbio Community Forum (SCF) is a non-profit organization to promote academic, international and social enlightening activities for the people who have the interest on the relation of science and technology with human, society and environment. The objective of the SCF’s activities are to contribute sound development of science and technology for harmonious society from the aspect of “human interface of symbiotic society”.


★ Major Activities of SCF

  1. Conducting symposium, workshop and seminar,
  2. Publishing books and journals,
  3. Research and investigations, and
  4. International collaboration.

★ History of SCF

  1. April 1999: Start of “Symbio Community Forum” as a voluntary activity of Donated Chair (by Kansai Electric Co. ltd.) in the Department of Socio-Environmental Energy Science, Graduate School of Energy Science, Kyoto University.
  2. April 2002: Inherit SCF as voluntary activity of Research Section of Energy & Information with the close of the Donated Chair in the same department.
  3. July 2006: Step up the SCF as non-profit organization with its official permission by Kyoto Prefecture in December 2006.
  4. July 9-11, 2007: Major conference organizer of “The 1st International Symposium on Symbiotic Nuclear Power System for 21st Century”(ISSNP2007) in Tsuruga, Japan.
  5. August 8-10, 2008: Cooperate to ISSNP/CSEPC/ISOFIC2008 at Harbin Engineering University, Harbin, China.
  6. August 20-22, 2009: Cooperate with ZERO CARBON ENERY Kyoto 2009 at Kyoto University, Kyoto, Japan.
