The 6000 CRORE Diwali Scam Nobody Is Talking About

ABOUT AUTHOR: Head of Content @ https://www.earningapplication.com (earning application) or, in plain English, I'm the guy responsible for ensuring that every blog post we publish is EPIC.

Diwali has come but the production sale of crackers and on use has been banned by the Supreme Court but what does it matter whether it is ban or not. Crackers have been buzzing this year as well and last year they were buzzing even after being banned according to a 2021 report.

Illegal firecrackers worth 1300 kg were seized on the day of Diwali in Delhi 281 people were also arrested for violating the Supreme Court's order And the people who were playing the crackers were disappearing before the police arrived Now the question arises here that Whether it is the right decision to ban this 6000 crore Firecracker industry or not we all know that Diwali is a festival. Which is considered to be the Victory of Good over Evil and people have been burning crackers for many years to celebrate Diwali.

And have been supporting this firecrackers industry and now our Indian army is also dependent on firecrackers to test the bombs. So, what is the current status of firecrackers how people are able to use so openly to them despite the ban on firecrackers And how big is this illegal firecracker industry of India will know in this video If we talk about history, then firecrackers were used in the first time in 200 BC and it was not a cracker like today's rocket or sutli bomb.

These crackers were then made from the bamboo plant if you keep heating the bamboo continuously then it explodes like a cracker That's why they used to do it as a firecracker at that time but today's firecrackers were popularized by a 19th century book, Things Chinese. And this book was written by James Ball, an author from Hong Kong and Surprisingly James was not just an author but a scientist as well. And he had explained the whole process in this book that which material you need and how you will be able to make an actual firecracker from those materials.

And this is the book inspiration of today's modern firecracker industry but 19th century firecrackers were not so popular in India. And even on Diwali they were not used to do it but 2 brothers living in Sivakasi, Tamil Nadu saw Firecracker as a perfect opportunity Two brothers named Shanmugga and P Ayya worked in a match factory in Kolkata and after learning from there they went to their homes in Tamil Nadu. came back Sivakasi And he started a firecracker factory there and today more than 8,000 firecracker factories are running in Sivakasi And India has now become the second largest market of firecrackers industry infact, some customized products of Indian Army Like, Storm proof matches, Smoke screens, Practice bombs are also manufacture from there But the ban imposed by the Supreme Court on this recent firecracker has been extended till 1st January 2023 And this has become a big problem for those 6.6 lakh families who used to work in the firecracker industry. Since after the ban, it has fallen from the turnover of 6,000 crores this industry has come to the turnover of 3,000 crores almost halved But the main reason for this ban is called Delhi's Rising Pollution Level which is 9 times higher than the World Health Organization's recommended level. Such is the bad condition of pollution in Delhi according to the National Green Tribunal Aluminium, sulphur, barium, potassium, plastic and flash powders are used in firecrackers which cause pollution.

And to reduce this pollution Council for scientific and industrial research has created Green Crackers whose raw materials cause 30% less pollution than your normal cracker Smoke is also released less and noise pollution is also reduced but the point of is that these green crackers also have a lot of Harmful Pollutants. Like Aluminium, Barium, Potassium nitrate, Carbon Who pollutes despite being completely green and despite knowing all this The Supreme Court has given permission for the production sale and use of green crackers. But different states have brought out their own regulations and guild lines and some states have even imposed a ban on green crackers.
For example, The Delhi pollution control comittee has last year imposed a complete ban on cracker burning until Jan 1, 2022 and this year also replaced the Green Crackers Allowed He has extended this ban till January 1, 2023. And this means if anyone is caught selling or burning crackers in Delhi then the police can take complete legal action against them. Similar rules have also been brought in Haryana but permission has been given to burn green crackers there And Tamil Nadu, where the largest industry of these firecrackers Their permission has been given to burst firecrackers from 6 to 7 in the morning and from 7 to 8 in the evening now here is an important thing to note. that firecrackers are not the only reason behind Delhi's pollution levels In november 2021, The Indian government has given permission to the farmers of Haryana and Punjab to burn the previous crop to prepare the new crop.

And this thing is also called Stubble Burning which increases a lot in the months of October and November. And at this time also the direction of the wind is such that in Haryana and Punjab it produces as much toxic smoke due to stubble burning. all of that comes in the air of Delhi And thanks to this Delhi's pollution level after Diwali becomes as much as 100 cigarettes per day Now I know that this issue is debatable on multiple levels whether we should ban crackers or not. Stubble burning should or should not be allowed But the ultimate question comes here That how much value do you give to a human life Because on the one hand, the lungs of people are getting worse due to toxic smokes by stubble burning. On the other hand, firecrackers manufacturers are spreading pollution by running illegal factories. Moreover, many firecracker factories openly violate child labor laws and so are illegal factories.

Education and future of our youth is getting destroyed National commission for protection of child rights according toa 2012 report of NCPCR Children of 5 to 15 years work more than 12 hours a day in firecracker factories and if we come to the wages So, these kids get money for making per piece cracker that means more crackers you buy and burn The more children's lives will continue to deteriorate due to child labor And recently the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu M.K. Stalin also requested Arvind Kejriwal that he removes the cracker which has been completely sealed in Delhi So that the business of 4,000 crores that the factories of Tamil Nadu used to do from Delhi they can do it again this year. And if you listen to the firecracker rules of other countries then you will understand that how much value is given to human life in other countries.
For example, In Canada firecrackers have been banned from storing and burning since 1972 in Hong Kong also firecrackers have been banned due to security reasons And in Singapore also firecrackers were banned only in 1970 when 6 people died due to firecrackers And a 68 old senior citizen who had a severe injury Now although, all these countries allow firecrackers to burn on special occasions like New Years But the point to note here is that how much value is given to human life in the countries. And even though, In India too, firecrackers were banned in 2020 but our police force could not take effective action.

To implement this ban the police blamed the government that you were very late how can we take action so soon? And the government put the blame on police that the police are not taking action properly but the real thing is whether the firecrackers are normal or green. Even today they are being manufactured and sold in illegal ways and this is spoiling both the lives of children and our lungs.
